PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject inverted hook hardly shaking and slipping off and further hardly catching a long-handed hook on underwater obstacles by tilting a snell stop part to the shank line of a shank in the inverted hook having the snell stop at the end of the shank. SOLUTION: This inverted hook 10 equipped with a snell stop 14 at the end of a shank 11 is obtained by tilting the part of the snell stop 14 at an angle with the shank line X of a shank 11. The part of the snell stop 14 is preferably located in the same plane as that of a point 12, but may be located in the plane different from that where the point 12 is extendedly present. The tilt angleθof the snell stop 14 with the shank line X of the shank 11 is preferably 5-90 deg..
