The trim fixing device is designed to attach the trim strip (2) to the upright (3) of the vehicle windscreen. The trim strip is formed to locate at least part of an inflatable curtain assembly (4), which consists of a series of support elements (12), fixed to the upright and linked to the trim strip by link elements (9) and by locking elements (10). The curtain inflates and the trim strip is released by the locking mechanism to pivot around the link elements to enable the curtain to inflate fully.
