CHUCKING METHOD OF DISK DEVICE AND DISK DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the chucking method of a disk device, capable of thinning and miniaturizing the device, and the disk device. SOLUTION: The chucking method of the disk device includes: constituting a chassis exterior from a base main body and a casing; forming a disk insertion port for directing inserting a disk on the front surface of the chassis exterior; holding a spindle motor and a pickup by a traverse disposed in the base main body and arranging a slider mechanism on one end side of the traverse; providing a cam mechanism for approaching/separating one end side of the traverse to/from the base main body and a slider cam mechanism for moving the traverse in a disk inserting/ejecting direction to the slider mechanism; and supporting the other end side of the traverse on the base main body by a fixing cam and moving the traverse in the disk inserting/ejecting direction by the slider cam mechanism, and approaching/separating the other end side of the traverse to/from the base main body by the fixing cam.
