PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform excellent processing and display by transmitting image data corresponding to the capability of a display device. SOLUTION: In a display system comprising the display device and an image processor which are connected to each other through a cable, the display device has a display means of displaying an image based upon input video data and a 1st communication means of sending information indicating a frame rate of video data at which the display means can display the data and receiving processing parameters of the video data, and the image processor has a 2nd communication means of receiving the information indicating the frame rate and transmitting the processing parameters of the video data and a control means of performing specified operation by using the information on the frame rate received from the display device and determining processing parameters of the video data.
