PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin-caring spectacle component that can keep healthy skin without causing inflammation even when brought into contact with the skin for a long time and maintain the effect for a long period. SOLUTION: As a spectacle component molded out of thermoplastic resin containing hydrolytic sericin, disclosed is a skin-caring spectacle component characterized in that the hydrolytic sericin is powder which contains 20 to 40 mol % serine as constituent amino acid and has a 5,000 to 50,000 mean molecular weight and a≤20μm mean particle size. As a spectacle component having a resin coating containing hydrolytic sericin formed on a surface of a base material for the spectacle component which is molded out of thermoplastic resin, disclosed is a skin-caring spectacle component characterized in that the hydrolytic is powder which contains 20 to 40 mol % serine as a constituent amino acid and has a 5,000 to 50,000 mean molecular weight and a≤20μm mean particle size.
