A prism sheet manufacturing mold and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase surface hardness by coating the mold or a prism sheet with metal, alloy, or metal oxides to reduce surface scratches of the mold, and to improve releasability for easily separating the prism sheet from the mold. The surface of a prism sheet manufacturing mold having prism patterns is coated by at least one metal or alloy or at least one metal oxide. The metal or alloy is selected from aluminum, manganese, nickel, gold, silver, copper, and chrome. The metal oxide is selected from titanium oxide, ITO(Indium-Tin Oxide), zirconium oxide, and aluminum oxide. The back side of the coated prism sheet is combined to a supporting body.
