POLYMER ELECTROLYTE FUEL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte fuel cell in which a heat insulating property of each of unit cells composing a fuel cell is enhanced and a temperature distribution liable to occur in a lamination direction during a normal operation is prevented and a temperature raising time at a starting time of power generation is shortened, and a thermal efficiency is enhanced.

SOLUTION: The polymer electrolyte fuel cell is provided with a projected part of an internal circumference and an external circumference of a frame manifold covering a manifold part of a separator of a spectacle shape which is connected with a separator power generating part only at its passage introduction part and the passage introduction part of the manifold of the separator which is combined through with an introduction passage of the internal circumference of the frame manifold. As a result, a temperature distribution liable to occur in a lamination direction during a normal operation is prevented and a temperature raising time at a starting time of power generation is shortened, and a thermal efficiency is enhanced.
