PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and accurately detecting drug-resistant bacteria in a short period of time without impairing the stability of antimicrobial agents, and a disk test specimen for detection.SOLUTION: In a method for detecting multidrug-resistant bacteria, the disk test specimen containing antimicrobial agents is combined with a solid culture medium in which target bacteria can be propagated. The disk test specimen contains at least three kinds of antimicrobial agents including a carbapenem-based antimicrobial agent, a fluoro-quinolone-based antimicrobial agent and an aminoglycoside-based antimicrobial agent. In a method for detecting vancomycin-resistant bacteria, the disk test specimen containing antimicrobial agents is combined with the solid culture medium in which the target bacteria can be propagated. The disk test specimen contains at least three kinds of antimicrobial agents including (a) at least two kinds of antimicrobial agents selected from a polypeptide-based antimicrobial agent, a monobactam-based antimicrobial agent and a quinolone-based antimicrobial agent, and (b) a glycopeptide-based antimicrobial agent. |
