The disc drive device includes the motor (2) for rotating the disc, a magnetic head (5) for reading and writing the data on the disc, a magnetic head carrying appts. for positioning the magnetic head at the valid region, a magnetic head location sensor (11) for obtaining the second output voltage level, an on-detection circuit (17) for detecting the power on-state of the magnetic head and a recalibration means for positioning the magnetic head on the reference track.
