PURPOSE: To provide a water culture apparatus for green vegetables capable of lightening the harvesting labor of vegetables and provide a vegetable transporting unit solving the problem of the deterioration of freshness during transportation and selling. CONSTITUTION: This water culture apparatus for green vegetables is provided with a supporting frame mounted on a water-culture bed and having an opening directing in vertical direction and a vegetable supporting material having a vertical through-hole holding the seedling bed for planting the vegetable. The through-hole has a size not to hinder the growth of the base part of the stalk of the growing vegetable. The opening of the supporting frame has a size to enable the passage of the root of the vegetable of one culture unit grown to the harvesting size. This vegetable transporting unit 20 is provided with a vegetable supporting material for supporting the vegetable in the water culture of vegetable and a root container supporting the vegetable supporting material taken in together with a vegetable having the root part and the leaf part in a state to keep the vegetable in vertical posture and a root container capable of holding the root of the vegetable and a liquid for feeding water to the root. |
