PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire capable of restraining temperature rises, easy to clean, and capable of varying color on its appearance, depending on whether fluorescent lamps are turned on or off. SOLUTION: A generally ring-shaped colored panel 20 having translucency and colored in chromatic color is enclosed in a translucent cover 10 and attached to the translucent cover 10 by means of a fixture. With the colored panel 20 enclosed in the translucent cover 10, the color of the colored panel 20 does not appear on the translucent cover 10 when fluorescent lamps 2 are turned off, so that the color appearing on the luminaire can be varied, depending on whether the lamps are turned on or off. A gap (g), which is approximately uniform throughout the peripheries, is provided between the upper end edge of the colored panel 20 and the inside surface of the upper part of the translucent cover 10. Thus, since the capacity of the translucent cover 10 does not decrease even with the colored panel 20 is housed therein, the temperature rises within the luminaire (inside of the translucent cover 10) are restrained and cleaning is also easy. |
