A process for the preparation of 5-methyl-3,6-di-(arylcarboxamido)-4,7-dihydropyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines derivatives of formula I I involves condensation of 4-(N-arylcarboxamido)-3-amino-1H-pyrazole, substituted arylacetamide and aldehyde in dimethylformamide. Mixture is heated to the state of clear solution and hold at light boiling for 15-20 min.up to full dewatering. The solution is cooled and prior to filtering ethanol is added.
