<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional peripheral device having a locking device for, when a module is opened, automatically locking the other modules. <P>SOLUTION: In the multifunctional peripheral device of the present invention, a trigger component is fixed to a first module, and is then inserted into a second module. An engagement member is provided in the second module, protruding from the second module. An actuation component and a linking component are provided in the second module. The linking component has an end connected to the actuation component, and the other end provided in the vicinity of the trigger component. When the three modules are stacked, the trigger component presses the engagement member, and the actuation component presses a third module. When the first module is rotated, the trigger component is released from the engagement member, so that the engagement member can be engaged with the third module.
