PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base plate of an article holder capable of being assembled without a tape or an adhesive means such as paste or the like in order to enhance productivity by achieving reduction of processes and raw materials. SOLUTION: A pair of the base plates 1 constituting the article holder has two pairs of creases opposite to each other for constituting four base sides, a crease extending from the intersection of the base sides to the end part, and connecting pieces connecting two pairs of wall parts 3 and a different pair of the wall parts respectively. The wall part comprises a pair of face to face arranged rectangular wall parts 30 and a pair of face to face arranged trapezoidal wall parts 31. The sum of two interior angles of the trapezoidal wall parts on the base side is approximately 90 degrees when the trapezoidal wall parts are combined with the article to be held clamped. Each rectangular wall part is slanted at the same angle as the interior angle on the base side of the trapezoidal wall part connected by the connecting piece, and is bent. The article to be held is accommodated so that the corner of the rectangular wall parts combined with the article to be held clamped is positioned and stored along the two corners opposite to each other in the outer package carton.
