A mobile terminal apparatus wherein when content data, for which a plurality of languages to describe the details of the contents have been prepared, are reproduced, a viewer need not perform any setting operations to set one of those languages for reproducing the content data but a language suitable for the viewer can be automatically set. The inventive mobile terminal apparatus comprises a receiving part (100) that receives a digital broadcast; a PES packet separating part (104) that extracts at least one piece of content data carried by the digital broadcast; and a SIM card I/F (122) that acquires, from a SIM card connected to the mobileterminal apparatus, country information with which a country can be identified. The PES packet separating part (104) extracts, from the content data to which language information about the languages to describe the details of the contents has been assigned, a piece of content data to which the language information corresponding to the country information acquired by the SIM card I/F (122) has been assigned.
