PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid extrusion press which has a simple structure while using a mixed driving source by hydraulic pressure and electric power.SOLUTION: A hybrid extrusion press comprises: a machine base; a main cross head having an extrusion stem and sliding on the machine base; a container holder sliding on the machine base; a hydraulic main ram connected to the main cross head; and a main cylinder housing equipped with hydraulic assist cylinders which act on the container holder or the main cross head. Each of the main cross head and the container holder has an electric motor for sliding each on the machine base. A first clamp device is provided to the container holder, and a second clamp device is provided to the main cross head. The first clamp device and the second clamp device are alternately engaged with rods of the hydraulic assist cylinders.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
