<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus easily suppressing generation of cross talk in using an array-like optical element for imaging. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal shutter array 10 including a plurality of liquid crystal shutters arranged corresponding to each micro lens 12A is arranged at one side (between the micro lens array 12 and an imaging lens 11) of the micro lens array 12. In addition, passage and blocking of an imaging beam traveling toward an image pickup device 13 are switched by each micro lens 12A by the liquid crystal shutter array 10. Overlap of beams on the image pickup device 13 is suppressed by image forming light beams by each micro lens 12A.
