<p>The method involves printing a postage imprint including an initial franking mount by print units (10) i.e. inkjet print head, of a franking machine. An actual length of the article is determined by length measuring units of the machine. A previously estimated mail category is compared with a determined mail category from the actual length of the article using safety processing units (10B). A visual or sound warning is generated by a visual or sound alarm of a user interface (10A) when two categories are not identical. A corrected franking mount is calculated by the processing units.</p> |
