<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system in which humidification control of reaction gas is executed according to requested fuel cell stack load. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system includes: a fuel cell stack which generates electric power on bringing supply of the reaction gas; plural humidification modules (181, 184) for humidifying the reaction gas; and gas stream control means (164, 190) for changing a total passage length, or a pass-through cross section in the humidification modules (181, 184) through which the reaction gas passes. The fuel cell system can adjust moisture content which the reaction gas collects from wet gas, by changing the total passage length or the pass-through cross section in the humidification modules (181, 184) through which the reaction gas passes.
