<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus designed so as to maintain sufficient positional precision even in the case that temperature changes. <P>SOLUTION: A recess 99 is formed around the screw hole 98 of a screw boss 97 by being depressed opposite a laminated sheet metal frame 58. The recess 99 makes the peripheral wall 100 of the screw boss 97, located outside the recess 99, flexibly deformable. Thus, even in the case that the linear expansion coefficient of a resin frame 57 is different from that of the laminated sheet metal frame 58, the peripheral wall of the screw boss 97 is flexibly deformed. This absorbs a difference in lengthwise change between both the frames 57 and 58. This prevents the resin frame 57 and laminated sheet metal frame 58 from curving even in the case that temperature changes, and hence maintains the positional precision of the image forming apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
