The design applies to a friction brake that has the brake disk mounted on the brake shaft and brake bodies, which are switch on by the strength of the springs and switch off pneumatically. The goal of the solution is to shorten the reaction time of the brake, which depends on the air quantity needed to fill and/or empty the control cylinder of the brake. This goal is accomplished by the fact that the brake bodies are controlled hydraulically by the gear. Pressure space of the hydraulic system is in the relaxed state, attached to the tank of the pressure liquid.<IMAGE>
