PURPOSE: To obtain a detergent compsn. which is mild to the human skin and exhibits a high emulsifying power and a high detergency to oil stain by incorporating a specific amidoethercarboxylic acid salt, a specific amidoether, and a specific surfactant into the compsn. CONSTITUTION: This compsn. contains an amidoethercarboxylic acid salt of formula I ]wherein R2 is 5-21C alkyl or alkenyl; n and m are each the average degree of polymn., being 0-20 provided 1<=n+m<=20; A is a group of formula II or III, H, or 1-3C alkyl; k and j are each the same as n or m; and M is an alkali or alkaline earth metal or an (alkanol)ammonium], an amidoether of formula IV (wherein B is a group of formula III, H, or 1-3C alkyl) in a specified wt. ratio to the foregoing salt, and at least one nonionic surfactant selected from among a specific polyoxyethylene alkyl or alkenyl ether, a specific fatty acid monoethanolamide and a specific fatty acid diethanolamide, a sugar ester surfactant, a fatty acid ester of sugar, and a sugar amide. |
