A roller skate with longitudinally aligned wheels, comprising a boot (2) and a substantially inverted U-shaped frame (10), on the flanges (12) of which there are mounted a plurality of pivot pins (15) for wheels (16), characterised in that the boot is provided lowerly with at least one appendix (6) removably engaging in a corresponding seat (19) provided in the horizontal portion (18) of the U-shaped frame (10), and securely retained by locking means (26) and in that the horizontal portion extends at least on one side into a portion (20) for protecting the lower surface of the sole.
