摘要 PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to lower a breakdown voltage, improve discharge efficiency, and reduce power consumption, by enhancing shapes of discharge sustain electrodes. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a first substrate(2) and a second substrate(4) spaced apart from each other and opposed with each other; address electrodes(8) formed on a surface of the first substrate, opposed to the second substrate, along one direction of the first substrate; barrier ribs(12) disposed in the space formed between the first substrate and the second substrate so as to define discharge cells; red, green, and blue phosphor layers(14R,14G,14B) formed in the respective discharge cells; and discharge sustain electrodes(20) formed on a surface of the second substrate, opposed to the first substrate, along the direction perpendicular to the address electrodes. The discharge sustain electrodes include a pair of bus electrodes(16a,18a) corresponding to the discharge cells; and a pair of protruded electrodes(16b,18b) extended from the bus electrodes toward insides of the discharge cells and opposed with each other. The opposed surfaces of the protruded electrodes are formed convexly toward centers of discharge cells.
