摘要 A novel phycoerythrin protein is provided which shows different optical property from a conventionally known phycoerythrin and has the size and the gene sequence different from the conventionally known phycoerythrin. A phycoerythrin gene includes a sequence of SEQ ID : NO. 1. A beta subunit protein of a phycoerythrin protein includes an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID : NO. 3. A phycoerythrin beta subunit gene encodes the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID : NO. 3. An alpha subunit protein of the phycoerythrin protein includes an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID : NO. 5. A phycoerythrin alpha subunit gene encodes the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID : NO. 5. A phycoerythrin protein consists of the beta subunit protein and the alpha subunit protein.
