PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide immunoregulatory preparations for use in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a hydroxylase inhibitor that is used in maintenance therapy of a patient suffering from inflammatory and/or fibrogenic intestinal disorders. The hydroxylase inhibitor is selected from DMOG, hydralazine, FG-4497, FG4095, and siRNAs against hydroxylases and antisense therapeutics against hydroxylases, e.g. against PHD1.
