PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly determine a stroke of each cylinder at a start of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A control device comprises: a cam angle signal detection counter part which counts the detection individual number of a cam angle signal, and increases, by a prescribed number, the detection individual number of the cam angle signal when timing comes which is defined on the basis of a deficit of a pulse of a crank angle signal corresponding to a specified rotation phase angle of a crankshaft in a state that the detection individual number is not smaller than one; a crank angle signal detection counter part being a counter part which counts the detection individual number of the crank angle signal, starts the counting of the detection individual number of the crank angle signal with the detection of the cam angle signal as a trigger, finishes the counting by resetting the detection individual number of the counter part when the detection individual number reaches an upper limit value, and reduces, by a prescribed number, the detection individual number of the crank angle signal when the cam angle signal is detected during the counting of the detection individual number: and a cylinder determination part which refers the detection individual number of the cam angle signal detection counter part at the timing which is defined on the basis of the deficit of the pulse of the crank angle signal, and determines a stroke of each cylinder.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
