PURPOSE: To enable the easy running of a combine in a backward tilting posture without damaging a bumper. CONSTITUTION: A thresher 5 is loaded on a machine frame 4 having a running apparatus 3 and a reaping unit 7 is attached in a liftable state on the front part of the machine frame 4 through a lifting mechanism 4b and the reaped culm is supplied to the thresher 5 to perform reaping and threshing. In this combine, a bumper 2, which protrudes backward and covers the entire width of the rear lower part of the machine in surrounding manner, is slantingly attached in a state that the rear end 20 of the bumper 2 has an inclining angleθ2 larger than the highest lifting angleθ1 of the reaping unit in terms of a side view.
