Disclosed is a lithium ion secondary battery comprising a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a porous heat-resistant layer and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode and the negative electrode respectively adsorb/desorb lithium ions reversibly. The porous heat-resistant layer is arranged between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and contains a metal oxide as a filler. The nonaqueous electrolyte is impregnated into the porous heat-resistant layer, thereby lying between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The particle sizes of the filler of the porous heat-resistant layer have a distribution ranging from 0.1 mum to 5.0 mum. In the particle size distribution measurement, D10 is not less than 0.2 mum but not more than 0.6 mum, and the mode diameter is not less than 0.80 mum but not more than 1.25 mum. ® KIPO & WIPO 2008 |
