PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means of preventing the surface cracks and internal cracks when continuously producing a slab having a white cast iron structure, and to improve the productivity of the slab having a white cast iron structure. SOLUTION: In producing a slab having a white cast iron structure by continuously casting molten iron having components to form into white cast iron, the temperature of the slab to be subjected to continuous casting upon completion of cooling is controlled to a transformation point from austenite to ferrite or higher.
