The heat sink (3) surrounds the main body (1), from which it rapidly absorbs heat leaving the light-emitting diode (LED) unit (2), enhancing the cooling effect. The heat sink has cooling fins. They are L-shaped, distributed radially around the main body and connected together. The unit replaces the conventional halogen bulb, and fits into the existing headlamp housing, hence the outer form of the cooling fins is shaped to match its shape. |
