PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel dry composition and a method for producing it which is low irritative to skin, exhibits excellent cleaning effect, swelling properties, moistness, and adsorption, and is suitable for a scrub agent composition. SOLUTION: The gel dry composition is obtained by mixing (a) a minute fibrous cellulose showing a loss tangent of less than 1 when it is a 0.5 mass% water dispersion and (b) at least one kind of polysaccharide selected among glucomannan, galactomannan, an alginic acid and the like together in water, and then, drying the mixture.
