FUEL CELL SYSTEM AND OPERATION METHOD FOR THE FUEL CELL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system exhausting condensed water in an air-breathing passage, constituted as a bypass line to the outside of the passage that can suppress blockage of the passage.

SOLUTION: The fuel cell system 100 is equipped with a reformer 115; a CO remover 117; an oxidation gas supplier 130 for supplying oxidation gas to the CO remover ; a fuel cell 101; a first oxidation gas passage 131 through which oxidation gas supplied from the oxidation gas supplier flows in the CO remover; a second oxidation gas passage 132 for mixing oxidation gas to hydrogen-containing gas, branching from the first oxidation gas passage and supplied from the CO remover to the fuel cell; a first flow rate controller 134 installed in the first oxidation gas passage 131a downstream than a branched part 140, and a controller 160. The controller controls the first flow rate controller so that the passage resistance of the first oxidation gas passage farther downstream than the branched part becomes larger than that in the second oxidation gas passage.
