<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of an opening/closing body which enables the pinching of a foreign matter to be detected from the early stage of opening/closing a window provided in a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A motor 10 drives a regulator 50 so as to open/close the window. A rotation angle of the motor is converted into a pulse signal by using an encoder 20, and the pulse signal is outputted to a control part 30. In the control part 30, a frequency fr of the pulse signal from the encoder is compared with a frequency f0 of a pulse signal before reaching a prescribed number, so that the pinching of the foreign matter by the window can be detected. When the pulse signal before reaching the prescribed number is in the initial stage of the drive of the motor 10, wherein a frequency is unstable, a comparison is made by using a reference frequency computed based on the frequency in the stability of the frequency. Thus, after the pulse signal before reaching the prescribed number enters a stable section, the pulse signals start to be compared with each other, so that the pinching of the foreign matter can be detected in an early stage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
