PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk cartridge structured to prevent a disk-shaped recording medium from being irradiated with light unnecessary for recording until loading the disk cartridge into an equipment unit. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the disk cartridge comprising: a case body comprised of a pair of upper and lower half shells for housing the disk-shaped recording medium so that the medium freely rotates; a slider provided to slide; and a shutter fixed on the slider capable of unidirectionally opening and closing a driving shaft insertion window and a head access window formed on the case body. The end face of the shutter at the side of an opening direction includes an L-shaped bent portion at the side of the shell, and the window end face side of the shell, from the distal end, forms a projecting part at the side of the shutter at least. An L-shaped shutter pressing plate is provided to overlap the free end of the shutter and an end at the side of a closing direction in a state of closing the shutter. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
