<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored composition useful as a color material of a color filter capable of achieving high contrast, and to provide a color filter that uses the same. <P>SOLUTION: The colored composition for a color filter is prepared, by blending at least a pigment dispersion (A), silica particles (B) and a binder component (C), wherein the pigment dispersion (A) comprises a diketopyrrolopyrrole pigment (a) represented by general Formula (1), an organic solvent (b) and a dispersant (c).
