PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable solid electrolytic capacitor wherein no crack is generated in its outer-package resin when performing its reflow and also to provide a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: In the solid electrolytic capacitor wherein a dielectric film, a solid electrolyte layer, a graphite layer, and a silver-paste layer are so disposed on the surface of an anode body as to cover them with an outer-package resin, after forming the silver-paste layer, the process of a surface treatment by a silane coupling agent is so provided as to form surface-treatment layers made of the silane coupling agent on the surface of the silver-paste layer and on an anode-lead planting surface. Thereby, owing to the coupling effect of the silane coupling agent, the combination of the silver-paste layer with the outer-package resin is made so strong that the adhesive strength present between both of them is improved. Any crack is prevented from occurring in the outer-package resin, therefore, when performing the reflow of the solid electrolytic capacitor. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
