<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amide compound which has anti-oxidizing performance for thermoplastic resins and is superior in discoloration resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The compound is represented by formula (1) (wherein n is an integer of 0 to 2), and an antioxidant for thermoplastic resins is composed of the compound. A thermoplastic resin composition comprises the compound. An anti-oxidizing method of thermoplastic resins comprises incorporating the compound into thermoplastic resins. The compound is produced by the reaction of 2-amino-4'-bromobiphenyl with the corresponding acid chloride, and the 2-amino-4'-bromobiphenyl is obtained by reducing 4-bromo-2'-nitrobiphenyl, which is produced by reacting 2-iodo-1-nitrobenzene with 4-bromophenylboric acid in the presence of a palladium compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
