PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rainwater storage structure and its construction method having a buoyancy measure with less installation scale, without especially increasing strength of resin member comprising of multistory structure for forming a water storage space and without increasing a ground excavation area. SOLUTION: A rainwater storage structure 10 is comprised of a water tank formed by arranging an impervious sheet layer 12 at an internal surface of a recess on the ground, a weight layer 16 arranged at the lower part of the water tank and a multistory structure 14 on the weight layer 16 and an upper layer member 18 formed on the multistory structure.
