PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front plate for a display device that includes a decorative layer capable of exhibiting a metallic color, and a display device including the same.SOLUTION: A front plate for a display device includes: a transparent substrate 1; a decorative layer 2 that is formed on the peripheral part of one face of the transparent substrate 1; and a low-refractive index layer 3 that is at least arranged between the transparent substrate 1 and the decorative layer 2.
