The invention relates to a differential cage (18) for a spur gear differential (1), having two carrier sections (30, 31) which are connected rotationally conjointly to one another and which each have a bearing seat region (19, 20) and a planet gear bearing region (28, 29) fastened to the bearing seat region (19, 20), wherein the planet gear bearing regions (28, 29) are formed, and spaced apart relative to one another in an axial direction of the differential cage (18), in such a way that multiple bearing bolts (23) which serve for rotatably mounting in each case one planet gear (2) are arranged in an axial intermediate space (32) between the planet gear bearing regions (28, 29), wherein the bearing seat region (19, 20) of at least one carrier section (30, 31) is machined by forging and the planet gear bearing region (28, 29) of the same carrier section (30, 31) is produced from a cold-worked metal sheet (33, 34); and to a spur gear differential (1) for a motor vehicle having at least one such differential cage (18). |
