摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel alignment film for a liquid crystal, from which a reverse mode polymer dispersion type liquid crystal element can be manufactured by using a general transparent film substrate, the liquid crystal element having similar performances to those of a liquid crystal element using, for example, a vertical alignment film made of a polyimide resin.SOLUTION: The alignment film for a liquid crystal is formed by homeotropically aligning a UV-curable liquid crystal on a transparent electrode formed on a transparent film substrate. More specifically, the alignment film is preferably constituted by applying a mixture prepared by mixing a homeotropic alignment type UV-curable liquid crystal and a UV-curable resin in a ratio of 30:70 to 99:1 on the transparent electrode. By using the novel alignment film for a liquid crystal, a reverse mode polymer dispersion type liquid crystal element can be manufactured.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
