Carrier material - for VA mycorrhiza fungi produced from diabase rock wool
摘要
Carrier material for the prodn. and application of VA (vesicular/arbuscular) mycorrhiza fungus propagation organs consists of water absorbing and stabilised rock wool, pref. made of diabase. The porous structure of the diabase rock wool results in an exceptionally strong development of the fungi. Up to 1000 resting spores per cm-3 have been counted. This carrier material is finally ground to a powdery-flocculated consistency which can be compressed to up to a quarter. When added to seed, the recommended rate is 3-5 kg per hectar of drill seed. ADVANTAGE - These VAM fungi promote the growth of most plants in synbiosis. They have many advantages compared with expanded clay.
