PURPOSE:To provide an image receptor paper for melt type thermal transfer recording for obtaining high grade and quality recorded image having excellent ink receptivity in full color, excellent ink transfer receptivity, reproducibility, fixability, gradability, sharpness (bleed of dot and bridging), and excellent curl. CONSTITUTION:An image receptor layer is provided on a base paper. The base paper contains 1-20wt.% of inorganic pigment having an apparent specific gravity (JIS-K-6220) of 0.15-0.70g/cm<3>. The image receptor layer contains as principal components a water resin having a glass transition temperature of -15-100 deg.C and an organic pigment having a softening point of 100 deg.C or above and an average particle diameter of 0.3-10mum, where the organic pigment is 20-250 pts.wt. based on the 100 pts.wt. of the water resin. |
