<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of operating stably and efficiently by using a liquid fuel as a raw material fuel. <P>SOLUTION: When stopping operation by stopping supply to a vaporization means 130 of a liquid fuel 111A desulfurized by a desulfurizing means 120, the liquid-removed gas flowing out from a fuel cell 170 is supplied to a downstream side than the desulfurizing means 120 by a circulation means 190 connected to the fuel cell 170.
