PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift lever device capable of securing necessary strength, provided with a shift lever which can be easily manufactured, and capable of achieving compactness as a whole body. SOLUTION: A detent protrusion 66 provided on a detent rod 60 of a shift lever 40 is integrally formed with the detent rod 60 in such a way that its cross sectional surface when cut in a roughly perpendicular direction to a protruded direction of the detent protrusion 66 becomes the maximum at a connection part with the detent rod 60 compared to the other parts of the detent protrusion 66. The detent protrusion 66 can thus be integrally formed of synthetic resin material with the detent rod 60 to secure similar strength to that of a conventional detent pin. |
