A multi-speed mechanical transmission for higher efficiency vehicles comprising dual belts (8, F) and linkages which are intermediated by a series of pivoting gears (3-6). The gears (A-E) are parallel and are co-axial with one belt (F) of the driving gears on one plane and gears (1-6) of the second plane driving the output pulley (1). The driving pulley (A) moves belt (F) and the pulleys engaged the belt (F). |
