The front face of the inflatable safety bag is located towards the vehicle driver and the rear face (3) is attached to the casing containing the gas generator. The stitching (4,5) which assembles the front and rear faces of the inflatable bag are joined together at an intersection (6,6'). The geometric disposition of the stitching at the intersection is such that there is no overlaying of the stitching which avoids weakness in this zone. The ends (7,9) of the stitching (4) are placed on the outside of the closed surface created by this stitching. They are thus placed in an unconstrained zone during inflation of the bag. The same occurs with the ends (8,10) of the stitching (5). The ends of the stitching are terminated by stitching edges placed outside the closed surface created by the stitches. |
