PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: separate precision working processes such as hemispherical-end processing, middle slit processing, element fixing, and the like to provide a ferrule type optical component with a lens function, optical elements, and the like, and the manufacturing processes are complex and difficult. SOLUTION: A fusion splicing part where a GI fiber of which the protective coating is removed is fusion-spliced with a single mode fiber or a coreless fiber is fixedly mounted in a ferrule, and both end faces of the ferrule are polished.
