PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for producing an N-alkylborazine having an extremely low halide ion content. SOLUTION: The method for producing an N-alkylborazine comprises a process for reacting an alkali borohydride represented by the formula: ABH<SB>4</SB>(wherein A is a lithium atom, a sodium atom or a potassium atom) with an alkylamine salt represented by the formula: RNH<SB>3</SB>X (wherein R is an alkyl group; and X is a halogen atom) in a solvent to synthesize the N-alkylborazine. The method for producing an N-alkylborazine comprises a process for obtaining a second solution in which a halide ion content is reduced from a first solution after the reaction to≤1,000 mass ppm based on the N-alkylborazine and a process for purifying the N-alkylborazine from the second solution by distillation purification.
